Asian broccoli recipe (day13) May 15, 2010

This might have been the best lunch all week .... got to eat it alone!

Asian-style Broccoli

Broccoli cut into florets (about 1 crown worth)
Red chili flakes – teaspoon or two
Garlic – 1 cloved, chopped/grated/pressed
Onion powder – ~1/2 tsp
Garlic powder – ~1/2 tsp
Ginger – grated/zested – maybe 1/2 tsp
Salt & pepper
Olive oil – about 2 tsp

Steam broccoli just until bright green and still very crisp(however you want, I do mine in the microwave). In pan heat olive oil, add red chili, onion powder, garlic powder & ginger. Cook until combined, add garlic, cook a min or two. Add a few tablespoons of water (i use the water that was used to steam the broc) add the broccoli. Cover and and let simmer/steam until done (no more than 5 min)

*Garlic chili paste works too, just leave out the chili flakes and garlic clove.
